- One-handed hood opening and closing – the struts lift the hood smoothly to its fully open position, and allow it to close and latch securely without slamming.
- High-Lift capability allows you to increase the open hood height by up to 8 inches above the stock prop rod height, for better lighting and access to all your engine projects. Choose the desired height during installation, and the hood will open to that position every time.
- Complete kit with premium OEM-quality components includes two enameled gloss black high-lift hood struts, heavy gauge gloss black powder coated brackets, all required installation hardware, and illustrated step-by-step installation instructions. Even a drill bit stopper is included to make drilling safer.

Excellent hood struts. Instructions were very detailed and item was pckaged really well. I able able to open my hood 6inches higher and the prop doesn’t get in the way when I work on the engine

Super easy to install. All you need to do the install, other than the kit, is a single drill bit, a prop rod, rivet gun and some elbow grease. Total install took less than 30 minutes…and it works GREAT!! Thanks for a great product!!

Very good fit and love the fact that’s it’s customizable so you can choose a range of hood heights before final assembly.
Many overlook this part as some garage setups, i.e. garage door openers, hanging light fixtures can pose interference challenges for a setup that dictates the hood opening height for you.

great kit adds more height to hood which equals easier access to the engine bay. Love it, thanks Spiker. My only knock would be with the drill bit. damn thing snapped drilling the 3rd hole!

Thanks for the thumbs up on the struts, and the comment about the drill bit. Based on your comment, we upgraded our drill bits to KFD Killer Force Drill Bits, which are manufactured from M2 premium grade high speed steel, with a 135 degree split point tip for self-centering. These bits are significantly more durable than the previous HSS bits with a 118 degree tip.
